Lusus is a family wine grower in Dão region, that traces its roots back through multiple generations, each one passing down their artistry and knowledge of winemaking. The inspiration for this project stems from the ancient Roman mythology, where Luso is depicted as the son or companion of Bacchus, the God of wine.
Over the years, through careful observation and interpretation of the terroir, Lusus has evolved into its current form. The family's commitment to authenticity and minimal intervention has resulted in the creation of truly special wines that embody purity and respect for the vineyards, the ecosystem, and the dedicated individuals who have tended to them.
Located in the sub-region of Silgueiros, within the parish of S. João de Lourosa, Lusus cultivates its vineyards across five distinct plots. These vineyards are characterized by clay soils with gravel, as well as sandy soils with a granitic origin.
Each bottle of Lusus wine is a testament to the family's commitment to quality and tradition.
Produced in limited quantities, every edition is carefully numbered, making Lusus wines truly unique and sought-after.
"LUSUS, family wines" is the embodiment of a family's passion, expertise, and love for winemaking, resulting in exceptional wines that reflect their heritage and dedication to the craft.
